Santa and Mrs. Claus enjoyed another day in Bg Bear Valley Nov. 26. After breakfast at Barnstorm Restaurant, the Clauses visited with youngsters n the Village before heading to Big Bear City for the annual tree lighting ceremony.

Families filled Big Bear City Fire Station, singing carols led by Art Harriman, played games and had their faces painted. Everyone was asked to bring a plate of cookies, which were a hit with young and old.

The crowd moved outside around the tree waiting for Santa's arrival. Counting down, the guests oohed and ahhed as the trees in the park in front of the station came to life just in time for Santa's arrival.

Kids lined up to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and tell him their wishes for Christmas.

The tree lighting ceremonies signal the beginning of the holiday season in Big Bear Valley. Trees remain lighted through December, and Santa is in his little red house in the Village every weekend through Dec. 18.
