The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for central San Bernardino County including the Big Bear area until 3 p.m. PT Wednesday, July 11.

Some locations that will likely experience flooding include San Bernardino, Redlands, Yucaipa, Big Bear City, Mount San Gorgonio, Forest Falls, Lake Arrowhead, Highland, Big Bear Lake, Running Springs, Angelus Oaks, Baldwin Lake and Mentone.

Flooding could occur along Highway 18 between Running Springs and Skyforest and Highway 18 between Baldwin Lake and Lucerne Valley. Highway 330 and Highway 38 between Yucaipa and Onyx Summit are also vulnerable to potential flooding.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move away from recently burned areas. Heavy rains will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain.
