It’s almost Memorial Day, do you know where spring is?

Apparently Mother Nature has confused spring with winter, or forgot to flip the calendar or didn’t clean her glasses, because snow is not exactly on the menu for Memorial Day weekend in Big Bear. Well, it isn’t what most residents and visitors would order, anyway.

But snow it is, along with wind and rain, and temperatures typical of December and January. The forecast calls for the possibility of snow on

May 22, with temperatures ranging from a low of 28 to a high of 39. It warms up Thursday and Friday, May 23 and 24, with highs reaching the mid 40s and 50s respectively. Sunshine makes a return visit for a full day Saturday, with no precipitation in the forecast — at least as of press time.
