Celebrate the Fourth of July at the water’s edge, with great food, carnival-style fun and a front-row seat for Southern California’s premier fireworks show. That’s what guests experience at the annual Rotary Club Best View Barbecue on July 4.
Soak in the views next to Marina Resort while celebrating 243 years of American independence. Enjoy music with a DJ, bounce houses, giveaways and midway-style games for the entire family in a secured, fenced area next to Big Bear Lake.
The menu includes choice of sirloin hamburger, all-beef hot dog or barbecue chicken sandwich meals for $27. Or, order the half-rack of baby back ribs for $34. There is a children’s hot dog meal for $20.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or spread a blanket on the lawn to enjoy an afternoon at the water’s edge. Commemorative Rotary holiday blankets are available
There is the Rotary’s hydration station for guests age 21 and older with a selection of beer and wine including craft brews from Big Bear Lake Brewing Company.
Reserved seating with preferred view in a separate area is available for $50 including choice of meal. VIP seating on Marina Resort’s deck includes a meal and commemorative blanket for $100.
Gates open at noon with hydration station and children’s activities at
2 p.m. Food service is from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Guests should eat early to avoid lines later.
The fireworks show begins at dark, around 9 p.m.
After dark, barbecue guests have the best seat in the house for the fireworks show over the lake. Fireworks are choreographed to patriotic music heard simultaneously on KBHR 93.3 FM radio.
