The Big Bear Rodriders are getting ready for their ninth annual Cool Run in the Mountains Car Show Sept. 1 at the Convention Center at Big Bear Lake.

The car show is a fundraiser for the Big Bear Alpine Zoo and DOVES of Big Bear Valley.

“We’re asking for the public’s support as we donate thousands of dollars back into the local community,” said event organizer Brad Shelkey. “It’s truly in the spirit of giving to these organizations who work so hard and give so much of themselves that we continue to find gratification in helping them with their efforts.”

Cool Run in the Mountains is a free event for spectators. Donations are welcome. Those who wish to display a unique car or motorcycle regardless of the year of the vehicle, make or model, can do so by submitting an application form and a $30 check payable to Ron Tholen/Rodriders. Mail checks to Rodriders, c/o Brad Shelkey, P.O. Box 3, Big Bear City, CA 92314. Registration on the day of the event is $35.
