Retooled Conquer series set to return

So, in case you haven’t heard, the good people at Open Air Big Bear have brought back the Conquer the Bear series for 2015. This time around though, the series focuses on perks and kudos for the participants and less on an overall winner in each division.

Inequality on the NCAA football field

The University of Alabama-Birmingham football team went 6-6 during the 2014 regular season, making it eligible for bowl season. But don’t expect to see the Blazers in any of those upcoming bowl games. The university terminated its football program Dec. 2 citing a $17.5 million deficit in 2012-13.
