The 2019 Rim Nordic cross-country mountain bike race series returns July 14 for the second race of the four-race event.

Mountain bikers race the challenging Rim Nordic course that features 50 percent single track and 50 percent fire roads with an elevation gain of at least 700 feet per lap, depending on the course.

Races are held, rain or shine.

Categories include pro and expert men, pro and expert women, sport men and women, open singlespeed, beginner men and women, and tandems.

All racers must sign release forms. No USA Cycling license is required to race in the Rim Nordic series.

Registration and packet pickup is July 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Riders can pre-ride the course that day for a $10 bike park fee.

On race day, registration and packet pickup is from 7:30 to 11 a.m.
