By the time the California mountain bike season arrived in Big Bear June 1, there had already been four races in the cross country series. The endurance and enduro racers had completed three races.

For downhillers, the Snow Summit series made its 2019 debut June 1.

Team Big Bear and Snow Summit hosted several hundred mountain bikers from California, Arizona and Nevada, as well as a few from Mexico and other US states. Eleven pro cross country riders, including four representing Bear Valley Bikes, raced along the Skyline Trail, as well as Fern and Bristlecone, just to name a few. It was a tight race with the top four riders crossing the finish in a 30-second span. Octavio Moreno Avila of Rialto and riding for Bike Check Studio, claimed the victory with a time of 1 hour, 32 minutes, 57.583 seconds.
